The castle is only a few minutes away from Schwerin State Capital by car and in an idyllic location, right by Glambecksee (a lake). Opened in 1998, the stylish and romantic castle hotel with its Turmhaus (house with a tower), which is about 50m away and was completely modernised in 2004 (including the installation of a lift), has several function rooms, a garden restaurant, a cellar bar, a library, a winter garden and a terrace as well as seminar and conference rooms. The 50 rooms are tastefully furnished and have shower/WC, satellite television and telephone. "Winstongolf" Golf Course is only 4km away from the castle.
