Experiences with nature at the Bresewitz village of cranes

 The fascinating autumn rest for cranes in the area of the “Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft” (Western Pomeranian Bodden Landscape) National Park has started. Every year, when tens of thousands of cranes come to Darß in order to take a rest here and to gather strength for the next stage of the flight, you can watch these big imposing birds. In autumn, above all, up to 40,000 of the big impressive birds can be watched over a longer period of time.
Accommodation:
 The guesthouse is located in the midst of the village of Bresewitz, between Barth and Zingst Baltic Seaside Resort. You will find relaxation and peace in the cosy, bright rooms with shower/WC, radio, satellite television, telephone and, in addition, a mini-kitchen with a refrigerator. Sauna and solarium, bicycle rental and free parking spaces are at your disposal. During your stay, you can take the guesthouse-owned bus to the information centre in Großmohrdorf. In the permanent exhibition, which is open all the year round, you have the opportunity to see specimens of various big birds at close range in glass cabinets. Charts, a slide show as well as a video allow to gain an insight into the life of these impressive birds. You will watch the cranes on the fields of Barth and Barhöft and also the cranes’ approach to their roosts.
