Fun in Mecklenburg Switzerland GR 006
Apart from bathing fun and water sports, Mecklenburgische Schweiz (Mecklenburg Switzerland) Nature Park and Lake Kummerow also offer rare species of birds and plants. Swimming, fishing, diving for beginners, snorkelling, waterway hiking, beach volleyball, beach games…. here, nearly everything is possible.
Program:
The first day Journey here
You make your own way to the adventure hotel. After moving into your accommodation, there will be enough time for taking a look around on the area.
The second day Safari for beavers
Today, we will go on a beaver safari by canoe along the river Peene. This trip will take place in the company of a member of the hotel staff, of course. In the evening, a football, handball or volleyball competition or a similar match can be organised. There are a lot of options on the hotel site.
The third day Bicycle trip
We will ride around Lake Kummerow by bicycle.
With its 33 square kilometre expanse, Lake Kummerow is the fourth-largest lake in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Because of its size, it is suitable for water sports. Here, you will find several bathing places, picnic areas for waterway hikers and camping sites. From the scenically very attractive slopes near Salem and Gorschendorf, you have a beautiful view of the light blue surface of the lake. You can let your gaze wander into the distance during a visit to the lookout tower. A cosy picnic is on the programme as well.
The fourth day ”Into the water, at the double”
Today, everyone can show his or her talent for constructing a raft and afterwards also have the opportunity to test its seaworthiness. In conclusion, there will be a merry water battle and riding on the water in a car tyre (behind a motorboat).
As an alternative, in bad weather, we will go on an excursion to Rostock Hanseatic City.
A busy town centre worth seeing, rocking sailing ships in Rostock harbour, colourful trams, majestic church towers that stretch up into the sky, Rostock is all this and much more.
The whole day is free to explore this fantastic town as you would like.
The fifth day Journey home
After breakfast, you will start your journey home.
