The half-timbered clay house dating from 1680 was restored to its original state and stands in all its splendour to the south of the Rerik & Kühlungsborn Baltic Seaside Resorts.
Holiday home for extended families of up to 10 people: Half of the manor house, which was the former riding stable, was converted to accommodate guests & seminars.


The core of the house - the 60sq m living room that has under-floor heating, a clay stove, a large table for guests and a small library - is on the ground floor. The room is meant to be mainly a living room for groups as well as a room for seminars – dancing – music – yoga and a meeting point to get to know each other and for having a chat together. On the top floor, you will find a communal kitchen, 2 bathrooms/WCs, 1 WC reserved for guests and 4 bedrooms. Environmentally-friendly materials were used in all the bedrooms, which have been fitted with loving care and have wooden floors and furniture and are designed in warm colours. They are non-smoking rooms without a TV set and the keeping of pets is not permitted. There are idyllic seating corners under the fruit trees in the garden.

The manor house is a 3-hectare property with a meadow containing different fruit trees, mighty linden trees, a cosy vine arbour, large meadows for sunbathing and playing. There is also a site for campfires and a place by the creek for building a dam and also for getting to know wild herbs.

Location: It is quietly and idyllically located in the open country and surrounded by a park with old trees at the edge of a small village. The half-timbered clay house is situated in the village of Bastorf between the Baltic Seaside Resorts of Rerik (4km) and Kühlungsborn (6km) and between Rostock (35km) and Wismar (35km) Hanseatic Cities. The bus stop is 600m away.

Bathing beaches at Kühlungsborn (6km) & Rerik (4km) Baltic Seaside Resorts. It is only 4km to a quiet, finely-sanded and toddler-friendly beach, which is located right by the Baltic Sea cycle path.

Catering: You will have a really good breakfast and you are also welcome to have a vegetarian one. Breakfast is EUR 8.00 per person. Children up to 10 years of age pay EUR 4.00. On request, full board is available for groups and is EUR 22.00 per person. Children in the age range of 3 to 10 years pay EUR 14.00 per person. Bicycle rental is EUR 6.00 per day.

Music & Arts: In the manor house grounds, there is a workshop for the making of musical instruments. Courses are available for the making of 5 instruments altogether, from the monochord via the stringed tambourine to an Indian bamboo tampura. In 2004, a week’s painting courses and courses for the making of masks are also available.

Leisure in the surrounding area: Hiking, riding a bicycle (bicycles are available at the manor house), horse riding, fishing, surfing, sailing and sightseeing trips.
